N-1 Starfighter / Naboo Fighter

The N-1 Starfighter / Naboo Fighter is another model that requires really thin paper.
Especially the last folding step is a bit clumsy and tricky to get right.

Start off of a half-complete windmill-base.

Fold the upwards pointing wing sidewards to obtain a mushroom-like shape.

Turn the model. In the following step we will valley fold around the red line.

Valley fold the upper half the T's horizontal stroke downwards. Then unfold it again.

Valley fold the right half of the T's vertical stroke to the center line. Then unfold again. The red line shows the fold location on the unfolded left half.

Also fold the left half to the center line along the red line shown on the previous image.

Now use the prepared folds from the previous steps to valley fold the top and the sides at the same time.

This image shows the same step again, with the folds progressed further.

Yet another image for the same step showing the final state. The red line shows the location of the next fold.

Valley fold the right arm upwards, then unfold.

Mountain fold along the same line again, then unfold.

Now inside reverse fold.

Now turn the model to the other side. The red line indicates the location of the next fold.

Valley fold along the red line from the previous image, then unfold again.

Using the preparational fold from the previous step, you can squash fold the arm into the shape shown below. The red line shows the location of the next fold.

Valley fold the top layer along the red line shown on the previous image.

Unfold the previous fold. The red line shows the location of the next fold.

Valley fold along the red line shown in the previious image.

Squash fold using the prepartional fold from the previous step.

Repeat steps 10 to 19 on the other side.

Turn the model to the other side.

Valley fold both lower corners as shown on the left half. The fold location is indicated by the red line on the right half. Then unfold again.

Mountain fold along the same line, then unfold again.

Now inside reverse fold both corners, using the preparational folds from the previous two steps.

Again, fold as shown on the left half along the red line shown on the right side.

Valley fold the corners one more time along the red lines.

In the next three steps we will valley-fold along the red lines and then mountain fold along the green line shown below.

First to the left.

Then to the right.

Now the mountain fold.

Now unfold the previous three folds and use them to do a squash fold.

Fold the squashed tail to the left as shown below. The red line shows the location of the next fold. The tail gets pretty thick and is difficult to handle.

Now valley fold the tail downwards, then unfold.

Now outside reverse fold the tail using the fold from the previous step.

You are done!
